Pathways
Our programme has considerable flexibility for students seeking different outcomes from their study to tailor their course to their specific needs through our target modules. As such students intending to progress to academic, advance in their career or advance their personal development will be able to create a programme appropriate to their goals. The two main pathways are:
Academic pathway
The academic pathway is designed for students intending to proceed to academic study. You will study core language modules each morning and this will then be supplemented by target modules during the afternoon.

Possible progression routes
Students may progress directly to academic study, onto one of the University Language Centre's specialist pre-sessional courses or take a recognised English language test such as Cambridge CAE, Cambridge CPE or IELTS in order to meet course entry requirements.
Personal and Professional Development Pathway
The personal and professional development pathway is designed for students who wish to enhance their employability, work or live in an English speaking country, or obtain an internationally recognised English language qualification.

Possible progression routes
Progression routes include moving onto further professional development courses (e.g. MBA), career progression or taking one of the internationally recognised English language tests offered by the University Langauge Centre.
